Penyisihan BOD5, COD dan TSS Limbah Cair Tahu dengan Kombinasi Koagulasi- Flokulasi dan Ultrafiltrasi

Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the performance of the coagulation-flocculation-ultrafiltration for removal BOD5, COD and TSS from tahu effluent. Inthis research varied operating pressure ultrafiltration membranes (0.5, 1; 1.5 bar).Coagulation process of particles colloidal wastewater tahu in the coagulator-floculator with rapid stirring at 150 rpm for 2 minutes and continue slow stirring at60 rpm for 15 minutes. Flocks formed deposited for 30 min, then precipitated andseparated wastewater pretreatment results clearly fed to ultrafiltration membraneduring the one hours of operation. The results show that coagulation-flocculationprocess removed 64.06% of BOD5, 64.02% of COD and 96.36% of TSS. The fluxincreased with the increasing of pressure operation.
