Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the superior strain cellulolyticmicroorganism that is compatible on peat soil to enhance yield of chili. Theresearch was carried out on peat soil of experimental station of AgricultureFaculty of UNRI from May till November 2008. The research used CompletelyRandomized Design with 4 replication that is consist of 5 using levels cellulolyticmicroorganism they are ; without using cellulolytic microorganism, using selectedisolates I (JS34B; 15 ml/plant), using selected isolates II (BS28E; 15 ml/plant),using selected isolates III (AS36A, 15ml/plant) and using mixed isolates I, II and IIIrespectively 5ml/plant. The result showed that all of tested cellulolyticmicroorganism have potency to enhance growth and yield of chili, by the way thebest and the most adaptable cellulolytic microorganism to peat soil is JS34B fromfungi group then followed by BS28E and AS36A from bacteria and actinomycetesgroup. The mixed of 3 isolates that used in the same time is the best usage, couldincrease weight of fresh fruit per plant till 53% or reach out 3.5 ton/hectare ofyield
