PENGARUH TEMPERATUR PADA PROSES PEMBUATAN ASAM OKSALAT DARI AMPAS TEBU

Abstract


Baggase is a material disposed which can be produced to be a benefit material suchas oxalate acid. cellulose in baggase is melted by using natrium hydroxide. Thisresearch purpose to discover temperature effect in producing oxalate acid frombaggase. This research is done by mixing 15gram baggase and 4N natrium hydrox-ide in beaker glass. melting time is 105 minutes with variety temperature 1200C,1600C, 1800C dan 2000C. qualitative analysis using permanganometry and acid-base titration is undertaken to examine oxalate acid which is obtained also to toexamine the melting point. Result of the research show that the maximum oxalateacid obtained is 4,01% w at melting temprature 180 oC. According to the researchthat the higher melting temperature, the more oxalate acid obtained.
