Abstract

Briquette utilization of cow dung as trying to develop alternative energy sources.This has two positive steps that reduce waste and as a source of new energy. In theutilization of these fuels will produce gases that may be harmful to the environmentbecause it needs to do research on the concentration of gases emitted in theirutilization, especially in the household. Laboratory analysis to contain of gas CO,NOx and SO2. Testing at Laboratory PT.Bukit Asam in the combustion of fuel asmuch as 700gr for 5 minutes, it is known bioarang briquette composition consistingof 34.81% Carbon, Sulfur and Nitrogen 0.55% 0.21%., From the combustion of COgas produced 10.86 ppm, 8.5 ppm NOx and 10.887 ppm SO2. Fuels tested in thisstudy does not emit gases that pass quality standard of emission sources do notmove based on the Decree of State Minister of Environment, No Kep-13/MENLH/3/1995.
