Pengaruh Komposisi Katalis H-Zeolit pada Proses Pembuatan Plastisizer Menggunakan Minyak Limbah Ikan Patin dan Isobutanol

Abstract


Plastisizers are additives that are added to polymeric material to increase flexibility.The purpose of this research are to make plastisizer by esterification of waste bellypatin fish and isobutanol using H-Zeolit as the catalyst. From the result of researchshowed that the utilization of waste belly patin fish is one effort that supports theactivities of zero waste. This research was done in Mineral and Natural MaterialTechnology Laboratory of Engineering Faculty of Riau University, Pekanbaru. Inthis research, the variation of the composition catalyst were 10%, 15%, and 20% ofbased sample reactant. H-Zeolit, fish oil and isobutanol reacted at batch reactorwith agitation 50 hours. From product analisys showing that composition catalystaffect. The best operation condition is at mixing speed is 200 rpm and composition15% and 20%. The physical properties from the product meet the commercial rawmaterial of plastisizer. In this result, density and viscosity is 0,86 gr/ml and 7,99mPa s.
